Williams is probably the hardest school in the country to get into right now. Williams is probably going to admit 10 kids, tops, from the greater DC area, including athletes.

DD boyfriend is a computer science major at Amherst. Got a great internship, loves it. Coming from TJ with those state he will probably have a very good shot at at least one SLACs in the 15 - 30 range, Macalester comes to mind for someone who thrived at TJ. Maybe pick one or two below 30 -- Franklin and Marshall, Bucknell or Pitt in PA. If at TJ you are in-state with William and Mary so that wld be close to a likely. For all SLACs make sure he visits or demonstrates interest by meeting/engaging with admissions reps. if travel is not in budget.

My kids are currently in college and used it in HS- it cant be that ”old”.

Wow what were stats? Coming out of Public or Private? Legacy? URM? Athlete?

DD ultimately got in to and will attend her reach - Penn (yes she liked hte campus).

Penn State and yes. It is a great safety because it is rolling admission. DC applied at the beginning of October and heard within 2 week. So, he just applied to the two other schools he really wanted to attend and didn't worry about having no place to go.
