It 100% depends on the trainer. For example, if you have Bruce Murray, you’re throwing money away. The guy doesn’t like to work.

Agree! terrible coach at MYS

Find a coach from your club that you really like and find 4 or 5 other kids to form your own group. Give the trainer like $100/hr (divided by 5 kids is $20/hr) and you'll have a great camp. Stay the hell away from the St. James.

This may be true. I don't know the cost of training at St. James. I have hired very specific private training, not high end gym offerings.

St. James in nice, but it certainly is for a particular sect of the population.

Those who don't know enough about soccer equate cost of training with quality of training.

That is what they are literally banking on. If you paid for any of those coaches, you'd be insane. Google them and see what happens

Paying that staff to work with your DC? Just put the money in a blender. The rates are crazy and for an inferior product.

This.

Find out who the coach is and do your research online. Talk to people about the coach and get as large a sample set of opinions as possible.

There are a lot of good coaches, but most of what camps offer can be done at home with a yard or a public field and a ball.

You just can do the team activities. But most kids should be getting that 10 months per year at practice. Take the summer to work individual skills.

Important question is who is teaching it.
