For a child that young, I'd suggest looking in a mirror to find your tutor and buying a copy of "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". It's a very scripted program - will tell you exactly what to say and what to do.

(It's not quite as easy as it's made out to be, because sometimes your kid's going to be antsy or stubborn or otherwise Not With It, but still: the program's a really good one and you're going to be spending time with your child, anyway. Push on through.)
