I still suspect "100 Easy Lessons" is probably good enough for now; it's a phonics-based, does a decent job showing how silent letters work, and does build good habits as far as pushing the child to sound things out and read the whole word, not just check out a picture and guess off the first couple of letters.

Mulling it over, the suggestions for Kumon/tutoring centers seems like a good one if you feel "100 Easy Lessons" really isn't enough, or you've gone through the program and want to continue on. Their advantage (in addition to cost) is that they're probably more used to dealing with precocious young learners than a typical tutor would be.

For a child that young, I'd suggest looking in a mirror to find your tutor and buying a copy of "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". It's a very scripted program - will tell you exactly what to say and what to do.

(It's not quite as easy as it's made out to be, because sometimes your kid's going to be antsy or stubborn or otherwise Not With It, but still: the program's a really good one and you're going to be spending time with your child, anyway. Push on through.)
