Parisa Tafti is a progressive prosecutor who plans to work to end mass incarceration.
Do scaredy-cat Republicans not like her because they’re actually afraid of minorities? Or are they just pushing the anti-minority white identity politics because that’s the only political play in their playbook?
Good for Arlington. Dems are putting their money where their mouth is: white and black people came together to fight racism.
48 percent of voters in a Democratic primary voted for Theo. Not sure why you’re ranting about Republicans. There really aren’t any in Arlington.

Arlington Police have a black eye in this. They really sat this out, when Theo had gone along with their flimsiest cases and Parisa was showing herself to be a vicious enemy. The police could have done some checkpoints in obvious Parisa neighborhoods, especially south of Route 50. I’m sure they were nervous about blowback, but for a friend like Theo you pull out the stops and apologize later.
Let’s see how they like it when their “allies” in the Commonwealth Attorney’s office start divulging their sins in the name of “discovery”.
Mark my words: if releasing black people leads to even a 0.001% increase in the crime rate, there’ll be hell to pay in four years.
