Please don’t try to hit on me in front of my kids. It’s nothing personal; I just don’t want to bring my kids into my dating life.

I’ve met single dads through activities that I do when my ex has the kids (things like running clubs or volunteer activities). It’s good, because we know our custody schedules line up.

Are you looking to just date, or do you want to remarry? I think it’s best to be honest about your intentions up front. I don’t want to remarry/blend my family, so I don’t want to waste someone’s time if that’s what they are looking for.

There are some guys on this forum who have read way too much of the pick up advice books or articles.

I'm a single mom who doesn't use dating apps. In my experience you check me out, stare, and circle nervously for about 18 months then make awkward small talk when you can. It's awkward but endearing. Try the real world - volunteer at your kid's school and get to know the other parents.
