Krav Maga is AWESOME. My DS took it when he was 13 after he got bored with Tae Kwon Do after he got his blackbelt. What made Krav so much better is that it actually teaches you how to fight. His instructor would put them in various situations and would practice how to defend it. (example - bully has you in a head lock, or bear hug or choke hold). There was also no-nonsense with belts and graduations. They were taught how to escape from dangerous situations even if it meant punching someone in the balls, eye gouges or fish hooks. They also did some ground defenses and I personally think juijitsu would be a good complement to learn ground defense and offense. Hope this helps.

I took Krav Maga classes back in Los Angeles all through high school and it was brilliant! So empowering. But like every class - it’s all about the teacher.

Hello, Has anyone's teen boys taken Krav Maga self defense classes? If so, can you please describe it to me and let me know what you thought about it?
Did your kids enjoy it and did you find it useful? Also, if there is a place you can recommend, that would be great.

Thank you.
