Your last point should be clarified, the coaches are from the academy so they may/may not be from Spain, but they are Barca Coaches.

You mean in Holland? My son went a couple of summers and it was good - make sure you go to the weeks they consider "international" or there won't be much English spoken. Also, it wasn't an overnight camp so we had to collect him at the end of each day which was a bit of a pain. AC Milan in Cortina, Italy was really nice but not overly competitive soccer-wise.

No experience yet, but my current U9 kid is going. It's no more expensive than most of the other summer camps he does as we use camp for summer care. FWIW, I put down his current travel coach (and gave him a heads up they might be contacting him). I didn't put down any other "soccer references" because who else would I put at his age? His rec coaches from when he was 7? I got an acceptance email within about 12 hours. Hopefully it's a decent camp. We were just looking for something with more focus on technical skills than the club camps that mostly seem to attract rec players. He has a great time at those, too, but this seemed a little more serious.

They want your money.....you won't be getting a contract so move on. Either join for the experience and swag or not, but you aren't going to the netherlands.

Has anyone tried this and liked it? Thinking of having my DS U10 travel player try it. Cost is steep though at $549. Is it materially better than local club travel camps, AC Milan Camp, Barcelona Camp?

It seems like they only take top talent as they require current coach contact info along with two soccer references...
