Like most MCPS high schools, Wootton's graduation is at DAR Constitution Hall. There's no way any of the school facilities could hold the three thousand attendees. Plus, DAR is really an elegant setting for such a milestone event.

You do realize that every MCPS had their graduation on the football field for decades, right? Some still do. I know Damascus still does.

School sent out an email this morning. Says no threat and it was investigated. However, it does not indicate if this was a new threat or not. Is it another student? What action(s) taken to ensure the safety of the kids. Too vague

The threat was unfounded. Police were at the school this am but not there today and not monitoring the graduation. The SRO will still be there.

Graduation ceremony is tonight at the neighboring Wootton High. Hopefully the issue will be straightened up before then.

Does anyone know what’s going on with all the recent threats. I heard some kids fear going to school and don’t. Principal has not said much and graduation is tonight.
