Would you be willing to share the name of the daycare? I'm concerned that my child may also go there.

Find a different daycare.

I teach preschool and there’s no way I would let kids roughhouse like that. Find a different daycare.

Consider a safer place. We are at an in home where they only go out in small age groups of 4 kids. I’ve seen the two teachers step in and say “be gentler.” They also will call for a water break if the kids need to calm down.

Rough play is common but the teachers should've been paying attention and put a stop to it. That's the problem with daycares/nannies/etc, you never really know what's going on after you leave your child. Is your child happy in daycare? If so, I would leave him there.

That sounds really awful for a two year old.

I saw some rough play among kids at the playground as I dropped my 2 yr old son there ( a daycare in falls church). He got kicked and pushed by other kids and no teacher seem to SEE and Stop it. I reminded a teacher who was nearby me about this and she did not try to find out the problem. She dismissed my concern quickly. I am not happy with her attitude.
Is rough play common at playground? Have you watched your kids playing at playground? Are the teacher usually attentive? I wonder if it makes a difference if we switch daycare.
