The third goal was great. Rocket shot that keeper could not handle and great hustle follow up. If you don’t think that goal was great, you know nothing. Also, Weah’s assist on the 2nd goal was world class. That was a really strong French team that they just beat. Almost made it 4-2 a few minutes later.
Negative posters like, “enjoy it while it lasts” person, even if US won the whole thing you’d probably still have something negative to say. Keep being negative as someday you will be right, but not yet.
I don't think that the poster who said "enjoy it while it lasts" was trying to be negative. This was a nice win, but France had twice as many shots as we did and we had only 38% of possession so that likelihood of us winning was low. Nonetheless, it is a tremendous win against a more talented opponent and I hope they beat Ecuador in the quarterfinals so that our joy could last a bit longer.

Took the lead 1-0, then France scored 2 to take the lead. The US looked to lose their composure a bit, and started playing way too many long balls, but then got it together and managed to score two nice goals and win it.
Did a great job in possession after taking the lead late. Bodes well for the future.
It helps a bit that France has players playing with the National team and u21s that would otherwise be eligible for this competition. Solid result, but let's not act like this is the event to turn it around for the US.
So do we.

Great win for this U20 team. However, it was clear that France has a lot more talent even after sending their best players to play with the senior national team. France should have won this game, but we will enjoy this upset. The best news is that our young players will get more looks from the pro scouts and this could open more opportunities for some of the young guys to move to Europe.
Lots of them are in Europe already. And our best striker (Josh Sargent) is with the main national team instead of at the U20s.
