Yes. I also can't see how it can be "helpful" around the house, unless it cooks and cleans for me. It seems like it only helps by turning on and off electronics around the house that are connected to it, which I can already do now with a touch of a button.

Never even occurred to me to have one!

I don't and can't see myself getting one. Technology has really helped our society, but it's also made us really lazy and unfriendly.

My daughter asks for one sometimes and I always say no.

I am purposefully a late adopter, for many reasons, not the least of which is a privacy concern. There will be no Alexas in my house. I'm already concerned about my smartphone: I need the music tuner app on it, and in order to function, it has to access the microphone, and therefore, it could be technically possible to hack into the app and listen to what goes on in the vicinity of the phone.

However I am also an owner of tech stocks! Financially, it's paying my mortgage, but ethically, I realize I am a shareholder, and therefore enabler, of companies that manufacture all such devices...
