+1 I’m not blind but I’ve never had the urge or the need to stray. Yes, I’ve noticed some guys and wondered what they’d be “like” but then I move on.

Does crush equal urge to stray?

Or does it just mean “would bang”?

It's normal. I'm very happily married, but have had short-lived crushes on people and can acknowledge that someone is good-looking without having a crush on them. I haven't ever actually wanted to cheat on my husband. I did with my college boyfriend (didn't actually do it, though he did), but our relationship was basically dead by that point.

That said, my husband is aware that I have lifelong love for a certain famous musician (I'm literally a 12 year old girl in a 32 year old woman's body when it comes to him). He's cool with it.

I think it’s pretty normal to have an attraction but not normal to have an obsessive crush. You have to decide what it is. I’ve had a couple of attractions but I love my husband and our sex life is so good that those attractions soon fade when I realize how good I have it.

Same here, OP. It’s really intense at times. I would never act on it, as I love my DH, family, and life. But yeah, it can be distracting sometimes.

Lots of people do. Not everybody. You are normal.

Can't speak for women but these are near universal in men, and frequently too.

You are just looking for “new” and bored with the old..... of course a new relationship is always exciting. But when the grind sets in you are thinking of a new relationship

I am in a decent marriage nearing ten years married, 13 years together, good father. I don’t want to leave or risk ruining it but sometimes I have mad crushes on friends. I was mildly obsessed with someone I played soccer with for a while, now my daughter’s bestie’s father. Nothing has ever happened, not even obvious flirtation. This is probably normal since I haven’t had so much as a first kiss in thirteen years? Or a sign of something deeper? I think it would be insane to try to do anything about it but I still think about it a lot.
