Both are fine, but I slightly prefer Mary Elise.

Desperate Housewives is the first thing that came to mind - Mary Alice Young! I do like the name Mary Alice though.

Mary Alice is so classic. It was #2 on my girls' name list, but I just found out my last baby will be another boy, so I think you should put a baby Mary Alice in the world

That said, Mary Elise is really beautiful too, I'm just biased toward Alice because that was my grandmother's name. Can't go wrong here.

I know a Maryalice - all one word. It's a good name. If separated, I like Mary Elise.

Elise. It gives the child a much more modern option if she doesn't want to go by Mary.

Mary Alice sounds smoother. I like the name Elise better though.

I love the name Alice - it’s one of my favorite names but, with Mary, Mary Elise is much prettier.
