Langley (and McLean) do have more drugs. It comes out in the surveys. It makes sense that the schools with more money have more drugs. They also have a higher suicide ideation rate. My two went to McLena and are both in college. When the oldest was ia freshman, a survey came out that said MCLean and Langley had the highest drug rates in the county (no surprise), but one of the highest suicide ideation rates
in the country. Both PTAs and school have worked together since to try to mitigate that. Safe Schools is one organization that has a few meetings/seminars/outreach things a year. They have had some success, but suicide and drugs is still a problem.
Both schools have a higher than usual number of serious goal minded students that keep themselves clean too. Like anywhere, you have to be engaged and active parents at a time when some parents think their parenting job is waning.
