I sent my kid with a bag thats more of a duffel bag style, smaller obviously. Its easier for her to get things out of that than pulling everything out of a backpack to find her sunscreen at the bottom.
Can't really recommend a brand, ours is a Spiderman one.

I'd just use a cheapo string tie one.

We use her old school backpack and use plastic wet bags.

North Face makes a backpack (youth sprout backpack) for the 2-4 year old set. We got a waterproof one, but I can't tell if these are.

Buy another Lands End back pack? We just use his school back pack because we know he is going to out grown the current back pack and have no problem with it getting trashed.

Can you recommend a backpack for my 3 and 5 year olds for camp? It should be (somewhat) waterproof since swim things come home each day and big enough for swim clothes and a towel. I would like to keep their school backpacks (which are Lands End) just for school.
