Good.

I used to have a full set of weights when I was married to my ex and if I didn’t have time for a full workout, I’d try to just get in my sets of deadlifts. They hit so many major, important muscles. It was really the most bang for my buck in a time crunch.

+1

Form is so important with deadlifts. If you form is off you can easily pull your back. Work with a *good* trainer to get your form right. Recording yourself is also a great way to check your form.

Trainer here. They are both good and bad. Good, in that they build a tremendous amount of strength in a functional way. Bad because there’s a lot of potential for injury if you lift too much weight too quickly, or take a long break and push it too hard when you start lifting again. One of the most common injuries I see is when people stop lifting, and then come back and try to lift the same amount they did 3 months ago. Recipe for disaster.

Do them, but be smart about it.

Deadlifts are my favorite. All kinds. Just learn good form.

How so?

I can only assume that was a troll.

Of course deadlifts are great for your body, assuming you have no preexisting injury.

Good. Helps with core, gluts, quads, shoulders. Just be sure you have good form and warm up to heavy weights so you don’t hurt yourself.
