I am a PP - I tried to get used to The Bump because I posted on The Knot back in the day when people still used it. I couldn’t get used to the message board structure over there though. It seemed very “Web 2.0”/mid-2000’s. And they had a lot of weird unwritten board rules about stuff and everyone seemed to know each other despite most people being first time moms? Like you can’t say “baby dust,” which I agree is a stupid phrase but it’s somehow highly offensive over there. It did seem to be a much more educated and higher-class crowd overall but also trying too hard to come off as smart or “snarky.”

It has nothing to do with going to college. It's having the common sense to wait until you can take care of kid and provide them a stable home, before having them.

The names are killing me in my FB due date group. SO BAD. Just in the last name post I saw a Trinity, Harleigh Lynn, Jacklynn, Karsyn, Evryn, Drydyn, Jaxxyon, Emberleigh, and Draco. Not even sure if some of them are boys or girls. And yes, there's a bunch of begging for money/donations, tons of sob stories, so many hot mess relationships. There really are two Americas ...

Yikes. I’m in a group for each of my kids with 30 or so other women. It’s been awesome. But I’ve heard he mega groups are horrible

I mean I get that they are a global group so you get all kinds but I have never joined one before (and this is my 3rd kid) and so far this week:

Two different women sounding pitiful (claiming they haven't eaten in 3 days etc...) in order to get people to feel bad and send them money.

People having their 6th, 7th, 8th etc...

18 year olds

People who literally can't spell or speak in grammatically correct sentences.

People naming their kids just straight made up terrible names.

It's too much.
