This is definitely easier in Google Docs or MS Word (have the table spill over to 2 or 3 columns).

In MS Excel or Google Sheets when you go to print you might be able to change the pages per sheet (I think it's printer dependent though). This is under Layout options in Excel. Use landscape.

Re: google sheets, I don't know offhand but have you tried the google forums? I've used google sheets sporadically, have collaborated on spreadsheet development (custom functions and such) for my son's business, anytime I couldn't figure something out via documentation I relied on the forums.

A few options because I'm not exactly sure what you mean
(For excel)

1. Select all of the cells you want and go to print. Under the options there should be the option to Print Selection and a separate option to Scale to Page or Fit on one page. This option will shrink the size of the text so it all fits on one page

2. If you want to take up more of the horizontal space, copy your three column headers and paste next to the original three columns. Copy the bottom half of the items (51-100) and paste it under the new column headers.

Ah, thanks, that gives me that option now, but that doesn't seem to do what I'm looking for it to do.

The word thing works...thanks...though I would prefer to not have to switch programs. It does get the job done.

This option is grayed out...I cant select it.

It's called snaking columns and there are some macros above my paygrade that can do it. I find copying to word to be simpler.

copying it to word and creating columns seems to be the fastest way I've found.

I use both Google sheets and Excel, so if either one has this feature I'd be happy:

I have a list of, let's say, 100 items. 100 rows, 3 columns each. Let's say a page has room for 25 of those rows. Can I have it print so that it carries over into the next columns, so I can fit all 100 on the same page? Like word wrap but for columns.

I can of course cut and paste creating 4 vertical sections, but then if I want to add rows after, the layout will be messed up. I hope I'm explaining this clearly. Any ideas?
