I don't know about the level of play at all age groups, but the fact that some former CCL teams are putting their top teams in EDP is curious, if not telling.

There simply aren't enough good teams in CCL to make it worth while for the best teams.
Let's face it, there are about two or three clubs in CCL that are significant better than the others. Since they don't have any kind of pro/rel, you either have your team play up an age, or try to find better competition elsewhere, which is why the big clubs are starting to put their top teams in EDP and their second teams in CCL.
What clubs are you thinking about? I assume Arlington and Loudoun. Bethesda is not in CCL, what other large clubs are dominant in CCL ?
