Exactly why it bothers me.

Because you probably eat like a pig and don't care about the comfort of others around you, hate sitting beside people like you in a restaurant. Close your f g mouth when you eat, I don't want to see or hear your food being eaten.

That’s as superficial as it gets. I bet you don’t fart or poop? Yeah, I thought so. Swallow as it gets.

You know, I was taught similar rules. I was also taught to be tolerant. If someone else does it, I ignore it or have that rare thing, dinner time conversation, around it.

Those of you who can't stand it, should just get some ear buds and chill out on some music from Pandora or Spotify or something.

I do. Listening to people who make noises whilst eating is very irritating. Chewing with one's mouth open is even worse. Most people are ill-mannered so I just endure it all and move on.

I’m sure you’re annoying in your own special way, OP.

I want to dump it on him.

Sit with him, record him secretly on your I phone and send him the recording with love. I did this to my husband, he had no idea he was eating that way. Haven't had that problem since.

Perhaps if you engaged in conversation with him rather than posting on DCUM, he would eat slower and you wound not be so annoyed

Your misophonia is real. My husband has this and he’s equally annoying when he eats. Be sure you’re quiet as a mouse before you start with that crap, OP.

You would explode if you heard my husband drink coffee and eat chocolate. Make a sane person insane.

But to keep the peace, I hum songs while he makes old man noises. Or I move farther away from where he's sitting.

Go to a different room and don’t tell him it bothers you unless pressed. My husband told me he doesn’t like slurping noodle sounds so now I have to time it and eat ramen when he’s not home or I have to burn myself trying to simply bite and chew the ramen like a normal dinner. Hot noodles are ruined for me.

You should have discovered this before you decided to marry him.
