Just don't make it about him or about the relationship (which you seem to be doing). That's dwelling. That's turning over too much power.
Again: what songs do *you* love? What songs make *you* happy? What's your walk up song? If you don't know, then you should do some serious navel gazing and get to know yourself, figure out what you love, and go after your own dream.
