This is true, but I never understand why. Why does an average-looking 100lb woman have more appeal than a gorgeous 140lb woman?

Is it because it’s more difficult to be thin than beautiful, and we value things that are scarce?
Is it years of glossy fashion magazines and ads?

I don’t agree. Depends on the woman. Look at opera singers, Anna Netrebko for example. It’s all about the confidence. Majority of plus size women just don’t have confidence and that’s why they don’t shine.

No, it isn’t possible for everyone and that’s ok.

You have to be skinny. Doesn't matter if you are pretty.

I don't think the women on the bottom is ugly at all. It just isn't a great picture. She has on a pretty blouse and what looks to be a structured wool coat. The scarf is a poorly worn. If she lost the scarf, put on a swipe of lipstick, and fastened her coat I think she would look lovely.

It seems that it requires long thin limbs, tall and skinny body, long neck and a well proportioned balanced nose.

And hair away from face.

Yes, you just need proper fitting clothes and good haircut and make-up. It's about looking polished--not your size. You also will have more confidence in the right clothes that fit your body.

You know what comes to mind when you think of elegance.

The following:

It seems that it requires long thin limbs, tall and skinny body, long neck and a well proportioned balanced nose.

What if you just don’t have the stuff?

What if you look like:

Can you still look elegant? How?

What if your short? Have a short neck and poor bone structure?!
