I lined up two of my friends who would be able to come in the middle of the night if necessary. I had a primary and a backup which was good when my primary ended up going on a work trip a couple of weeks before my due date when my baby came. Given it was a one time ask for a big event, they were more than happy to help me out.

Fly in family. A cousin, MIL, mom, sister, SIL, aunt?

Sorry the previous posters are being so rude and unsupportive. I am new to the area too so don't have any answers, but I'm sure there are overnight doula agencies that provide care in situations like this. Also, if you join some of the local FB mom groups and post your question there, I'm sure you will get some helpful responses. Good luck. Even though we lived in a city where I had friends and a SIL I could call on, it was still SO stressful to think about the various scenerios when I went into labor with #2.

OP, I went into labor in the wee hours and my baby-sitter didn't answer her phone. So my husband and my 5yo came with me to the hospital and they stayed in the waiting room while I had the baby.

It worked out fine for us because we had already agreed that he wouldn't be in the room this time and my 5yo thought it was an adventure. The baby came, her sister got to hold her, and they went home to sleep.

However that was me. It is important to you to have your husband there, so in your case, I would fly someone in to stay with you for a week or so before your due date, to be there for your oldest when you go into labor. Do you have a family member who could do that for you? A mother, sister, aunt, etc?

When is your baby due? I mean you moved to a new place two weeks ago why didn't you include this in your planning since you knew it was an issue?

Plenty of people don't have friends when they relocate pp. It's one thing to have a friend but you need a close friend to babysit for you.
