Clubs know that most girls will drop soccer at U13. Hence, they want to add as much of the 2008 players (rising U12) now in order to fill the U13 teams the following year.

You must have a reading comprehension problem. The post above stated that this is the "last" year 2008s will be playing 9v9, and that they will be transitioning to 11v.11 "next" year. You have to start preparing in advance. Sure, you can add a talented new player or two during the tryouts next year, but you also need to have players, who are a known commodity and have learned the system of play the club uses.

2008 girls are the best across the map nobody cares about 2007 or older
