The Bolt is only eligible for a $3750 tax credit right now, but these guys are selling them for $26k before the tax credit.
If you need/want a 200+ mile range the Bolt is probably the best for now. If you can live with more like 150 mile range you should look at the Leaf. There are also other cars you can look at with shorter ranges, and if you wait more cars will be coming.
The 2019 Leaf is 200+ mile range.
