I'm with you. I spend time scrubbing out stains (my go to is a Oxiclean paste on the stain and soak overnight), but it's not worth it for baseball. Hope next year they have dirt-colored jerseys.

There's a team in Falls Church (the Copperheads), and their uniforms are the color of dirt. Genius! I think the pants are still white though.

I second this heartily. It's a miracle worker.

3rd. And then let it soak for awhile before washing. The red dirt/clay around here is awful.

4th. Game changer. My kid starts all games looking fresh.

PP who suggested Fels Naphtha. I start by soaking the pants in the wash with Tide and OxiClean. Ideally, I let them soak overnight. I then use the Fels Naphtha bar to get the stains out. Unlike the other poster, it seems my kids barely get to the car fresh, after alllll of the time I spent scrubbing those darn pants.

Miracle worker poster here. Funny how we all have different techniques! I actually used the bar first to get the fresh stains out (I find doing that gets the vast majority of the dirt out then), and then I use OxiClean spray and wash them with OxiClean detergent. What I haven't done is shred the Fels Naptha to make flakes like it says you can do...just worried about my washer for some reason.

As an aside, my kid, sister, BIL, and I went to the all-star convention last year and the OxiClean guy was giving away decent-sized containers! I made my son get in line for a picture and autograph because free OxiClean! My sister did the same with her husband too. That stuff is like gold in our house.

Does anyone have any good tips on how to get stains from a baseball field out of uniforms? That dirt is killer! I've always prided myself on being able to get out anything especially with oxiclean but this stuff won't budge!
