Your uncle having polio was a bit different given when he was born. You are an absolute fool for your thinking. I have a child who was hospitaliz from a vaccine shot. Don't tell me everyone should do it blindly and its 100% safe. You clearly have no idea about the opposite side to it.


Come now, we all know about the risks we take. And the risks of illness are a lot greater than the risks of adverse reactions - but by choosing to not vaccinate, you assume your child won't contract those illnesses since others are expected to protect him.

I don't think that people should skip vaccines, but I think it's weird that someone who is Christian (or another religion) and has some crazy idea about vaccination needs to have their ideas respected, but someone who is Agnostic, or Atheist, or just honest and admits that their crazy idea has nothing to do with God doesn't.


True. But if it creates more barriers to not vaxxing, I'm all for it.

Depends on the state. Some states do not have a religious exemption.

And the only reason that the odds are low is because most people vaccinated. Once herd immunity is lost, the odds increase.

I think you can use the philosophical/religious exemption everywhere except when working in healthcare or military.

I wish everyone that could get a vaccine did, but I’m not going to lose sleep over it. It is something you can’t control and the likelihood of catching one of those diseases AND having extreme complications from said disease is very very low.

What state? Most are going in the other direction.

Let me begin by saying that I am VERY pro-vax, my own children are vaxxed etc.

Here's my question:
I realize children can get a medical exemption from school, but what about camps, when they go to college, etc? Can you use a religious exemption in those scenarios too? I'm just curious what happens down the road so to speak for these kids.
