Where I live, Arlington practices in late afternoons/evenings would be real hassle due to traffic. Great Falls would be worse. The most reasonable distances for us are with: McLean, Premier AC, Vienna. All are good options depending on what you want. Different personalities, all have some good teams.
If you live north of 123, Great Falls is an easy commute. If you live south of 123, Arlington or Premier AC are better options.

If you are looking for a smaller club and smaller club vibe, then i would consider Premier AC. They practice not too far away at Luther Jackson MS or Falls Church HS. Its nice b/c the practice times are always the same time and place each season and each year (by age), so that is a big plus if you have a kid that plays other sports b/c you know when practice will be. Admittedly, there website is terrible, but it does list tryout and contact info.

Does Bethesda South even exist anymore? Serious question. They seem to field only 1 boys team in total.

If you want a smaller club with smaller training fees and better chance of making the top team, there are several clubs near by such as Vienna and Great Falls Reston. All these clubs have rec programs.

McLean is one of the best travel clubs in the area. Top-notch coaches. They have regular travel as well as ECNL. They also have rec.
