She's running against Barbara Favola, right?

Merlene will win very few votes in Loudoun or Fairfax. She is all Arlington all the time. I saw her at an one event in Fairfax, and the crowd was overwhelmingly Favola supporters. Favola has done as good a job as any Arlington-based politician could do of winning other people in other counties who happen to be in her district.

When you are a white daughter of Arlington privilege you have to work harder to distinguish yourself from carpetbaggers like Katie Cristol.
The next time she knocks on your door ask her what she is going to do about the apartheid wall between Halls Hill and Woodlawn Village. She grew up in the white side of the wall blocks away. Also ask her if she went to Glebe Elementary or if her parents arranged to put her in the not black school.
Dare her to address Arlington’s racism.
