We love our zoo membership. Going to Amazonia for two hours in the winter is like a mini trip to the tropics. Never hard to get parking then.

I think it’s worth it for the parking and the carousel rides, but my son loves the zoo and we go often.

Not worth it for us but zoo is my least favorite DC attraction. Parking fills up so fast. We just went for a birthday and parking sucked. And it’s not free for special events. We did take advantage of reciprocity in Nashville and Tampa, so that was nice. I face the biggest perk seems to be that we go to zoos in other towns that we might have skipped otherwise!

We’ve gone to the zoo on countless weekends in the past two years. We never arrive before 10 am and we had no issues finding parking.

There has never been a time when we didn’t find parking.

Have you visited the zoo recently?

The lowest tier membership is $64, so if you go 3 times a year it's worth it. Not 2.

Not a PP, but you also get 8 carousel rides (worth $28) and 15% off food/merchandise. My kids are obsessed with the carousel, and we usually end up getting lunch there so those perks add up. I've found it to be worth it.
We've never had a problem finding parking as long as we're there before ten (but we don't usually go during the busiest times). We got there at 9am during Spring Break and the parking lot was still practically empty.

?? Pre-10am is the best way to ensure parking.

After I meant. I’ve been at 9:30 and there is just a giant line snaking down to the bottom lot that takes forever becaus rthe make you pay upon entrance for some reason.

You do have to get there pretty early (definitely on weekends/holidays/school breaks) to get parking.

But still worth it. We live in Woodbridge and still get up to the zoo at least 4 times/year.

Yup. Worth it.

We go to the zoo more than 4 times a year and it’s nice to be able to park really close to the kids farm and playground.

We used to have a membership while the kids were young and went to the zoo often as a result.

Is it worth it? What's the parking like??
