You must be a BMW salesman.

Then go with that dealer's website price to your local dealer and ask them to match it. They'll hem and haw but point out you'll happily make a 2-hour drive for that price.

I was buying a more desirable luxyury car model, and the local dealers wouldn't discount. I ended up driving up to Baltimore and buying the same car for invoice price. But that's a rare case.. usually the local one will discount rather than lose the sale.

Great tip. Thanks!

Not sure what you're talking about, BMW discounts a ton. 10-15% is doable if you're willing to put the leg work in.

Could you please share some tips about the "putting leg work in"?. Maybe you know something that could help?

No, with Range Rover you can get it down, you just need to know when to buy it and where to look for comps.

That would mean.. 15%.. of 60K.. like 9K discount? Really, you think it is doable?

I don’t think you’ll get more than 5 or 6k off.

Yeah, I think you are right. I should start at maybe 50 and negotiate to 40. Shopped around. Doable.

Are they telling you the same? The M3 is a collector car, and I wouldn’t expect a discount.
