Not more unsporting than half the Villa team mobbing Klich and trying to rip his jersey off, Hourihane getting a punch in. Not more unsporting than John Terry running his mouth AFTER both head coaches had agreed to let Villa equalize.

The result ended Leeds' hopes of automatic promotion but confirmed their spot in the play-offs - where they could face Aston Villa again.

It also confirmed Sheffield United's promotion to the Premier League

Wow that cost a lot of money.

No more unsporting than virtually every player who dives and feigns injury.

While I agree "play to the whistle" Leeds did make it look like they were about to kick it out, and then took advantage of that misconception to send a through ball down the channel that set up the goal. The player with the ball slowed up in response to the calls to kick it out, laid back his posture a bit and looked like he was going to put it out into touch, only to then play it through to his player after everyone else had backed off. That bit was a bit unsporting.

A similar thing happened about 20 years ago at Arsenal. An Arsenal player took a throw-in that was supposed to be kicked to the other side (following an intentional kickout due to injury) but the player was unaware of the arrangement and went ahead and set up a goal. The other side was furious, so Arsenal offered to replay the game.

Unless it is a keeper injury, a head injury, a severe laceration needing immediate medical attention, a seizure, or a compound fracture, the offense should continue play. Once the defense gains control, THEY can kick it out so medical staff can attend to their OWN player. A good sportsman would then play the ball back to them on the restart. Always play until the whistle blows.

This is largely a problem these dumb asses have brought on themselves, because they feign serious injury when there is none, merely to gain a tactical advantage. They shouldn't be surprised when play continues because players think they're faking.

Aston Villa should never have stopped playing until they won the ball back or it was out of bounds. And did AV's Jonathan Kodjia have a serious injury? Of course not.
