Would it be weird to ask for contact information?

I meant to ask but we had another event to attend and left and forgot to ask.

I don’t think that’s weird at all. That’s how you make friends!

I'd plan something with both families in the near future. And at that get together make a point to get the other families contact info.

NP here but thanks, this is a great idea!

I don't think it's weird! My husband does this all the time and has made a bunch of good friends this way.

I think this is a good approach or host something and ask your friend to pass along an invite, or the next time you are at something with the friends make a plan including your friend.

Oh and the reason I say this is because there was a similar situation in my group of friends. Except the woman whose number was given out was annoyed that she wasn't asked first if it was ok to give out. Made it very awkward for the friend caught in between.

I met a family twice at my friend’s party. I really like them and think they liked me too.

Would it be weird to ask for contact information?

I meant to ask but we had another event to attend and left and forgot to ask.
