BMW seems a little bit more sexy then GLE. The GLE feels fails to deliver in the back area, if you compare the two but this is not something that is an issue for someone who likes one car or the other. GLE feels more old fashion on the back. Somehow it has the same look as in the past. That wrapped around window is kind of blah.

The term is surely a stretch. I assume you are referring to the parking assistance feature when your car parallel park itself for you with your very minimal assistance? Also you are talking about Audi which is not the cars being discussed here.

Went from a GL450 to an Escalade and never looked back. (Before DCUM flips, 3 children and aging parents often with us so we need the room)

I’m a current Mercedes owner and have found the opposite—their navigation and media was surprisingly nonintuitive and outdated. I will probably be switching brands this year.

Yes, seems like it has been a long time since the BMW and Mercedes set foot in other cars because they are boasting about their interior features like everyone else had a last century interior. Actually Fords, Mazdas, Hondas, Nissans and ever Volkswagens have such an amazing techonology inside and the interiors of many cars out there are by no starch worse then the Beamers and Merdedes. Show some respect.

But, a decent new Explorer is running $42-50K, or a bit more depending on features. I just spaced one out and it was about $48K and it was upgraded but not top of the line. Same with the Arcadia. I found the "cheaper" cars to have the nicer interiors in terms of features at that price or even a bit higher as the pricier brands were at the lower models and the interior really showed.

I am grew it is sometimes hard to get used to a new car. I upgraded from an Infiniti to a Mercedes and ended up trading the car in after a year to go back and get another Infiniti. I think that was the first sign I am getting old! I just couldn’t get used to the Mercedes - I am sure it was a fine car but little things like the navigation and even how you change the radio stations drove me nutty!

They are nice cars but maybe it is worth to wait a year until it more people will experience them and any issues can be addressed.

No. You need to get the 450 or M package.

I don't know if this is a thing now but was really interested into the newest models of the cars above. Tried couple different trim levels at different dealer and one think in common was that many features were not responding to the desperate acts of the sales person who had in each and every case the expertise, and the steps but the driving machines were not responding much. It is all that new technology that is supposed to make your life easier but at the end it added to so much frustration. I feel like there is so much packed into a car now and it feels like they are too new to figure out yet all the quirks so it kind of feel like early versions of Windows, when you a buyer would be a beta tester. It would be always eventually ironed out but first buyers were always suffering the bugs.

Anyone had similar experience?
