Subject: What do you typically spend on a baby shower gift?
My gifts for friends have been about $25-50, but I've also hosted all of the baby showers thus far - food, decor, games, etc. So I consider that part of the gift as well, and that's been a few hundred on top of that eat time at least. If/when my bff has or adopts, I'll probably drop around $100-$200 on her (lives too far for me to host a shower).
No one in my family has had kids yet but me. I'll probably do $50 for cousins, our sibs decided on child-free.

$50-75 for most others
Maybe more if it's one of my closest friends, but that ship has sailed.

$20 ish maybe for one new gift. But for close friends who also appreciate buying used things, I’ll buy a series of small, useful things over time from consignment swaps.

$30 aquaintance, $50-$75 for casual friend, up to $150 for close family/friends. I did $65 for a casual friend recently but also spent $100ish making the entire event’s desserts from scratch as well. She is also a close friend’s sister and DH’s coworker.

I guess I’m cheap. Usually $30-50 for acquaintances like coworkers. I only have a few close friends but a large family. They all get $100+ depending on the circumstances.
