Won’t happen. The average Virginian is moderate, tolerant and easy going, whether liberal or conservative, and not the MAGA type. Sure, you have some outliners, but the state isn’t turning red in 2020. Sorry.

What about when boundaries are changed to move wealthy people out of poorer schools? That is about the only way FCPS has changed boundaries in the last 15 years. It has not been good for the system. They are actually spending tax dollars to expand schools instead of using available space. Not good.

Leading the offensive is Vice President Mike Pence, who on Wednesday evening headlined a fundraiser in McLean for Republican state legislators up for election in November. Pence is expected to hold additional events for Virginia lawmakers in the coming months, and White House officials intend to use the 2019 elections to test whether they can make inroads in the state, which Trump lost by 5 percentage points.
