I mean I've talked to her about how sometimes someone can have one drug that is laced with another drug that you weren't aware of, and how to avoid winding up with that.

Weed is so pervasive now and the kids view it very differently than when I was in high school.

They do it any way. They do what they want.

I struggle too. But it’s the right goal. I’ve taken the position of not punishing for information shared and really informing of risks legal, health, etc, including self medicating. I also talk very openly about addiction/dependence, what it looks like, feels like, warnings signs (want to stop or scale back and can’t). I also don’t allow anything in my house s d if so find it I’m throwing it out.

I struggle with this all the time. I hope someone here has a great answer.

I've had recent reasons to be suspicious about some teen misbehaving. Some I keep to myself, some I need to address (e.g. Possible weed use). I'd love to hear ways, timing, etc. you talk to your teen to keep connected, not push further underground, etc. I just feel a bit at a loss. No snarky comments. I am doing the hard parenting things, I just want to do it better!!!
