And yes there is always the HAES crowd, who are in their 20s and 30s and their weight hasn't caught up with them yet. There are pretty much no obese 80 year olds.

Hi All, You may remember me from a week or so ago... I posted about my dad randomly giving me a bathroom scale. (Background: I am a soon to be 51 year old woman with 1 child. We live in a different state than my parents. I could lose 15 lbs but I am hardly fat. I have never discussed dieting with my parents.)

Update! Last night, my dad texted me asking me how I liked the scale. I texted back a “thumbs up” because I did not want to argue...he responded that I was “impossible,” and he knew I was lying because the “gift” was sent wrapped up... (and did you know this? I did not...) ..... when an Amazon purchase is sent all wrapped up as a gift, the sender can track when the package is opened! As you can imagine, the scale has NOT been opened. In fact, it is currently still boxed, wrapped, and sitting in my hall closet. I sort of ignored him, and did not want to engage in the madness....but I am mad....

Thoughts?!
