This is correct. If you can’t go the au pair route it’s tough for people who need part time. College kids rarely take these jobs anymore.
A live-in nanny is a more competent alternative, if you have the space. Most live-in nannies with only part-time childcare fill in the other hours with housework.
That is a housekeeper who babysits - not a nanny.
