Whoa.

My boys are 18 months apart, I’m a SAHM, we don’t have a nanny, and we LOVE the age gap.

My first was only 18 months old when the baby came home, so he didn’t know any better. We kept his day the same, and the newborn just slept and went along for the ride.

I got them on the same schedule ASAP, so we all napped from 12-2, including me.

My oldest doesn’t remember life without his brother.

My friends all did the 2 year age gap and they STRUGGLED. We didn’t because DS1 was too little to care.

They’re 3.5 and 2 now and it’s fine.

Yes. Op what did you expect?

You are in for a long haul. Probably divorce, too.

What a ray of sunshine.

We’re almost 5 months in with kids 22 months apart. It’s manageable but definitely still ships passing in the night. Luckily the baby is good tempered so the days are fine- nights are a mess. We have two older kids also (5 and 7). Hang in there!

My only advice is to take lots of pictures and videos now even if you don’t feel like things are cute or fun. I treasure those snapshots now and I actually miss having two babies.

Agree with all of this. Mine are now 4 and nearly 6 and life is good. Hang in there!

Probably not until both are in school. Even then, they'll fight like cats and dogs, no avoiding that.

Daycare for the oldest. Or daycare for both. Even if it means working to pay daycare

If you had 2 under 2, how old was the youngest when it stopped totally sucking? I’m 6 weeks in and everyday feels like an endless endurance event with all the fun I used to have with ds1 gone because he’s acting out about baby and Dh and I are just ships passing in the night handing off kids and chores
