Because it's the best/healthiest relationship I have ever been in in my life. And I'm not someone to take relationships lightly. I never thought I'd get divorced, but it happened after many years of abuse. We were already planning to wait a year or so after marriage. And I'm not 100 percent sure we will, I'm just looking for been there done that parents

OP here....my kids are doing great. Their parents are a lot more healthy and happy currently then they were 3 years ago still together. Which makes my children's lives much more stable. So thanks for your 3 comments but you didn't really answer any of my questions

Seems like too much for your older two. I wouldn't do it. They already have a lot going on to cope with.

I'm divorced with 2 elementary age kids. I'm getting married this year and we have discussed having a baby. We are a same sex couple so obviously this will take some planning, not to mention we will be 39/40 and obviously age makes this more difficult. I'm curious for those of you who have started over with a baby in a second marriage with older kids. How is it, what are the positives and negatives. TIA
