The girls DA teams in this area have U13 teams thru a pilot program that is only for this region. This will continue next year. It is not nationwide.

They aren't having DA programs for that age group at the DA travel clubs either. Some of those Clubs held DA sessions, but it is unclear what they are doing with the selectees. Where will they play? Will there be large rosters for these pre-DA travel teams that may never materialize into DA teams because the following year is when U13 is supposed to be phased out.

With the disintegration of boy's DA on the horizon, I think they are phasing it out completely. There may be MLS DA for the older age groups 15/16+, but Clubs will cease having it.

I heard that following the US soccer announcement that there will no longer be a D.A. program from U12s next year DC United has decided not to field a team for 2008 U12s next Fall.
