But yes, I agree, impossible to find things. Also, as you said, even though the Leesburg Target's renovation is completed, the shoes available aren't as plentiful as before. I have a tween who can fit in both kids and women's and now instead of just going to the shoe section, I have to check multiple sections (kids, women's, women's plus, etc.).

Oh, this is such a shame because, yes, I am in the exact same situation! My 11yo wears a 4-5, so yep, we were checking every section (women's, kid's) just to make sure we hadn't missed any possibility! Plus, with Payless gone, where am I going to find my decent but affordable shoe options?

I was hoping it was just the Target at 7 Corners. I went there last week with 10 things on my list and they not had 5. The 5 things I can get anywhere. I came back and order the rest online from other merchandisers. It reminded me of what happened to K-Mart and I really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

This Target truly is the WORST.

Everyone, thanks for the hints on the "good" Targets. I ended up at least getting my kids' correct sizes while I was there (I hope) by having them measure their feet on the shoe-sizing mats on the floor and by trying on similar styles, and then I just ordered online this morning, and am having them shipped to the Reston store. Fingers crossed it'll all work out fine.

This is OP back. Yes, this one is just the pits. What you described (half the aisles blocked by huge pallets of merchandise, piles of undressed mannequins lying on the floor, aisles pushed too close together so you had to turn to your side to fit down it, etc.) was exactly as we found it.

It seems like weekend afternoons at most stores are like this now. Stores want to staff as lightly as possible and shoppers are rude ass people who make disaster areas.

I try to shop first thing in the morning if I have to go on a weekend. If I go after about 2 PM I am quickly reminded why I try to go in the morning. It's stupid out there.

I feel like Target always looks like a Hurricane during the weekends.

I saw some flats at the Leesburg Target when I was there this weekend if that helps. Maybe search online and select that store to see if they are in the store.

Has that one been renovated yet?

I'm not sure. It looked about the same as it did last time I was there, 5 months ago.

They're in between seasons, so changing up the aisles, etc.

You should have tried the Sterling Target (next to Costco). It's really nice and organized.

I visited not one, but two, Targets this weekend that were total dumps! Looked like messy TJ Maxx or Marshalls or worse. Merchandise on the floor, shoe section totally picked through and discarded shoes all over the floor in the aisles, disaster.

This was first at the Ashburn Target (the one by Wegman's).

Then, we tried Reston, hoping to have better luck. Was specifically looking for Easter flats for my girls and the ones I had seen on line but wasn't sure about sizing so wanted to try them on the girls' free before buying. Reston -- well, ok, you are going through a renovation, so I suppose you get a bit more of a pass (but please hurry up with the renovation, b/c it is taking FOREVER and I don't understand why you would fix something that wasn't broken -- it was FINE before, and now I cannot find anything). But everything is all messed up because of the renovation and, as one associate told me, we don't have very many shoes. That is putting it lightly. It again looked like I was picking through a store-closing sale about two days too late. NOTHING!

Blegh.

Target, what is going on with you??????
