My kid has asthma, so nope.

It's always ok to pass on sleepovers if something makes you uncomfortable. You can also offer to host or do an evening playdate. I have a long list of things that I am personally uptight about so I haven't done sleepovers yet

I have my medical marijuana card and a glass of wine makes me much more impaired than a few puffs on my 1:1 vape pen. I use it every night before bed and don't get "high". I don't advertise that I smoke on FB, though. So maybe that's the difference?

And my guess is that you have no idea if this family has guns in the home and if so, how they are secured.

Again, your issues are perfectly reasonable, but what you wrote is like when people say "no offense but...".

I wouldn't send my kid on a sleepover with a mom who posts things like that or annoying mommy wine culture stuff either. (I am a non-drinker, occasional smoker FTR)

I actually don’t drink wine to deal my kids either. I wouldn’t allow sleepovers, but good luck explaining why.

My DD9 has a little friend since 1st grade. I know the mom, we aren’t friends, but we are cordial. She’s friends with me of FB. She posts quite a bit about marijuana, memes, articles, etc. Not too long ago, she posted a meme that stuck with me, something like, “I smoke pot so I can deal with my kids. You drink wine. Deal with it.” Something along those lines. I preface this by saying that marijuana is legal, and I have no issues with it. But DD was invited to a sleepover at this house, and I’m having a hard time deciding what to do. She has proudly told me on more than one occasion that she smokes pretty much daily. When, I don’t know.

How would you feel about sending your kid for this sleepover? I don’t smoke now (used to, know it’s different now) but it always hit me really hard back when I did. I wouldn’t trust 2001 stoned me with kids.
