I know at least 10 cases. All within TJ boundaries.

Please come back when you have accurate information. There is no “TJ boundary.” Every 8th grader in Fairfax County is able to apply for TJ regardless of where they live, whether it’s a mile from the school or 15 miles from the school. It is an admissions-based school.

And that makes it boundary. Fairfax County.

Doesn't Jefferson also include Arlington County?

Students in 6 local VA jurisdictions, including Arlington County, are eligible to apply even though they do not live in Fairfax County.

It is 2000.

20 kids per spot easily.

As opposed to Jefferson Davis high which is probably also in VA somewhere...

It’s not called Jefferson. It’s either TJ or Thomas Jefferson.

Blair is a smaller program that only half the county is even eligible to apply to, but that being said it's really not that different.

I am not sure why it matters as no one can apply to both but Blair has about 100 spots a year and TJ has about 500. I am assuming the applicant pool for TJ is not 5x as large as the 16 HSs that feed into Blair. According to Fairfax county 2.902 kids applied for those 500 spots. I am not sure of the current Blair application numbers.
