I had same situation - but at ultrasound it was okay. I think sometimes it is slow. I remember researching that it could be related to gender (male embryo lead to lower rise of HCG). But haven't done research on that lately.

One anecdote: My numbers were very similar, they doubled between the first and second beta, but slowed between the second and third. I did tons of research, posted here, and was generally freaked out until the ultrasound. Everything worked out just fine. They don't always double. Wishing you luck!

OP here. I just heard from my clinic. They're not concerned and are just moving ahead to scheduling the ultrasound instead of another beta. So I'm going to try and be reassured.

PP at 16:50, I know the grass is always greener, but your numbers sound much better than mine to me.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad sign. It may still be considered "an appropriate rise." In fact, I'm not a doctor but believe the doubling times slow as you get farther along.

There's this http://www.betabase.info/chart/doubling/single if you want to drive yourself crazy with this stuff. Call your RE?

I am in the exact same boat and am freaking out. (mine are dpo as I did IUI)
14 dpo - 166
18 dpo - 512
21 dpo - 1001

I had a miscarriage last cycle at 8 weeks and am panicked. Plus, I feel like last time mine rose much fast (like 35 hour doubling time). Doc says come in in 2 weeks for scan (I'll be 7 weeks)

Thanks, PP. I haven't heard from my clinic yet - just saw the results online. I feel like all the stories I've heard online have people doubling or more than doubling in two days if they're successful. But I know that's just anecdotes; it just makes me feel really nervous.

In general you want a 66% increase every 2 days, which you have. The numbers started off good. 9dp5d should be greater than 50. I think you are fine. My miscarriages have looked worse. What does your RE say?

Hi all - I'm kind of freaking out. I was starting to feel hopeful but my latest beta has kind of thrown me into depression. My clinic hasn't called with the results yet, so I'm not sure what they'll say (I was checking the online portal) but here are my three betas after a 5dt of a PGS tested embryo.

9dp5dt - 80

13dp5dt - 424

15dp5dt - 761

So my doubling time went from 37 hours to 58 hours. This is a bad sign, right?
