No, but the people who lived a few houses away when I was a tween/teen were VERY into that scene and apparently approached my parents about it several times. My parents politely but firmly declined each time and I guess the neighbors eventually gave up. One of their kids was a couple years older than me but ALWAYS wanted to hang out at our house. She used to tell me stories about the creepy people who were "visiting" her parents for the weekend. Apparently she and her brother realized exactly what was going on when they were in high school and stopped speaking to their parents because they were so embarrassed. 20+ years later and according to my mother, they are still estranged.

This doesn't really make sense to me. You have a lifestyle but it's totally secret? Why not tell some of your family or friends? Or, when they are old enough, your children?

My mother was loosely associated with the DC madam circle during the early days. Years ago.

That went on w my friends parents in jr high and after. I thought it was so weird. We would go out with her family, and her dad would bring girlfriend or mom would bring boyfriend. Hate to say, but she was sweet, but a little messed up from upbringing (that was just the tip of the iceburg).

My cousin and her husband have an open marriage. We're more like sisters than cousins, which is the only reason why she told me. No one else in our family knows. She and her husband are both very crunchy granola people. His parents are pretty well off and bought them a farm as their wedding gift because both love gardening and growing their own food. They're part of a small homeschool group of others with similar ideals and they all partner swap. Not my cup of tea, but their kids do not know. According to her, there are no romantic feelings involved; it's purely sexual.

My cousin did but never knew about, not until years after the divorce, which was for totally different reasons.
