I love my treadmill for the fact that if I want a hard run, I can do that. If I want to walk at a snails pace I can. I feel like some machines don’t allow for the days you can really only muster a minimal effort (which is better than doing nothing at all). I was never a walker, but I now have a habit of walking anywhere from a half mile to a mile while I drink my morning protein shake.

I feel the opposite. Between work and being a mom, I have trouble finding the time to go to a crowded gym, worry about fighting people for machines, and spending extra time driving there and back. I can say more easily find time at home (while my kid sleeps, when he has friends over, etc).

My latest favorite home exercise is using a small step with risers, a bosu ball, and exercise bands.

Rowing machine. I’ve tried Pelaoton and find their classes boring.

depends on your goal. for cardio heath, either a bike or treadmill.

for overall strength, simple hand weights and bands + yoga mat is all you need.

Invest in whatever you like to do. I like biking so a peloton has been great for me. But I am sure to diversify with other workouts though. I use their app for outdoor runs, strength and stretching.

Treadmill/incline trainer. You can run/jog, walk, and go uphill for versatility. But for the love of god, let your arms swing naturally and don't hold on to the machine when using it with the incline.

I own a treadmill, weight bench and an erg. By far, my best workouts are on the erg. Whole body cardio workout in 30 minutes.

I have a Beach body on demand account which I love. I also have free weights. But I'd like to invest in one piece of exercise equipment (for budget and space reasons). If you could have just one piece of equipment in your house, what would it be and why? Peloton? Treadmill? Bo-flex? other? Not an eliptical; my hips hurt when I use an eliptical (I'm very short and I think those machines just aren't the right size for my body). Thanks!
