I did a prolonged course of 5mg of Letrozole with daily monitoring and then successfully got pregnant with IUI. My RE said sometimes it just takes longer in PCOS patients and they had to hit the sweet spot of follicle growth before they got too big to do the trigger.

Trying letrozole for the first time (5mg) monitored with RE. No response at this dose (classic pcos myriad of follicles failing to grow). Previously (in my late 20s) failed to respond to Clomid up to 150, successfully pregnant with an injectable (age 30). I am now 34, lean very annovulatory pcos, other numbers look fine. Trying to determine whether upping the dose would be worth a shot- no insurance coverage going forward. Wary of risk of multiples with injectables. Appreciate any wisdom!
