My in-laws did it for their Volvo. Big benefit for them was they picked up the car at the factory in Sweden, spent a couple weeks driving it around Scandinavia, and then flew back to the U.S. and the car arrived a couple months later. If you have that kind of time I think it could be fun.

You get some decent discounts off mSrp that can. E attractive.

It’s mostly for the experience- if you like the idea of a driving vacation in Europe, and want a new car, go for it.

You're not going to be able to use ED to import a car that BMW doesn't sell here. The order still needs to be placed at a US dealer for a product they sell in the US.

What's the upside? Assume this is only good if you are buying a special car not available in the US? Volvo gives you round trip tickets, is appealing if you already planned to buy a Volvo and like to travel, but not true for BMW and Mercedes. Am I missing something? DH is interested in the BMW wagon, which is apparently not being sold in the US, which is what made me look into it.
